Beholders and Jhor the bleeder

in BGII:EE Bugs (v1.2.2030)
Current Behavior: so sometimes when I smack beholder with jhor the bleeder they will take the extra damage, and sometimes not, it says that they are "poisoned" but then they will take no damage, now I have found that when the beholders are paralyzed they will take the poison damage normally so this is a tad confusing

Expected Behavior: not sure what is supposed to be expected, but my guess is that they are suppose to take poison damage normally? or do they have poison resistance that I'm getting trolled from?
