#7431 [HEXXAT] - Hexxat Portrait Bug

Hey all - Started two games, each one trying to get Hexxat into my party. In the first game, I was able to do so - and got (from what I can tell by the forums) her correct Portrait.

In the second game, with a new class (decided to go Blackguard), when I bring her into my party, she's using the portrait that was being used by Clara (I elected to make my blackguard use the original Clara portrait).

Seems like a bug, Hexxat should have her own portrait, one way or another - not the random one that was assigned to Clara when I took her original one for myself.


Anyone know of a work around (tried many things: Replacing her portrait in the save game did exactly nothing. Tried using EEkeeper to see if I could adjust it there... but EEkeeper seems to be buggy, cant get it to find my installation path no matter what I try.

Anywho - I'd appreciate any help!

    Can you change your portrait to that of Clara but with "Custom Portraits" not the one the game give you from start? (which would be to start a new game)

    What's the version of your EE Keeper?

    Yeah. I definitely can select that one in the customize section.

    EE keeper seems to be the most up to date: 1.0.2.1 - which should allow for editing BG2EE.

    So - I did a little more research, and half of this issue is "Working as Designed"

    This post indicates that if I steal a character's portrait, it should change. That's fine - it then makes sense that Clara's portrait would be different. However, I expect that Hexxat's portrait would remain unchanged. That would appear to be the bug.

    Still hoping to find a way around this, a fix of some sort: whether it involves EEkeeper, or something else.

    Ah ha! Final edit. Was able to get EE Keeper to work, and managed to change Hexxat's portrait to what it should be.

    That should fix all the issues for me. The bug may still be present, but at least this serves as a work around.

    Having the same problem.
    How did you get EE Keeper to work? I'm using the same version as you, and have no idea why it isn't working. My copy of BG2:EE is on steam, is that the problem? And if so, how do I fix it? -.-

    Having the same problem also - but on a Mac, so I can't get EE Keeper to fix it. Any other suggestions or am I out of luck?

    Edit: disregard, I figured out EE Keeper via Wineskin.

    On a side note, before I tried that, I tried changing my PC portrait to the second-option random Hexxat - and she changed to a third random portrait upon re-load. I tried that one, and she moved to second-random-option - and over and over again in a circle. So I had to resort to EE Keeper.
