Help! Immoen cannot cast any spells

I'm in Irenicus' dungeon and Immoen can't cast any spells. She has them memorized but when I click on the icon to cast them they are all greyed out. Is this part of the game (she is so distraught in the dungeon she can't cast) or is this a bug?

Thanks for any insight.

    Has she been equipped with armor? Armor blocks Arcane spell casting.

    Pro tip, use the armor spell in place of actual armor. It's the same as studded leather and doesn't block spellcasting. It lasts for hours too, so you will likely have it up for the entire time you are in the first dungeon.

    Remove armor. Memorise Level 1 armor spell, and once you get it, level 4 Spirit Armour spell.

    Tanky mage (also all stoneskin, mirror image, a couple of defensive illusion spells, and keep a polymorph self or two memorised for when your spells run out).

    Why do I get the feeling someone skipped BG1? as Mentioned before: Spellcaster use fancy robes or walk around a room with nothing but a smile and their spells. Use the spells like shield or armour, that's what mages do to to keep themselfes warm and fuzzy.

    D'oh! Thanks guys... wow I'm out of practice. I've played the whole series through years ago and finished BG1EE a few months ago but now getting into BG2EE. Appreciate the help on my stupid question!

    P.S. Apparently I also missed the "Wizard spells are now disabled" message when equipping armor... sigh.

    Heh heh. I once took Imoen almost through a full run with armor on, all the while raging at her for being a useless wreck :) good old days.
