Import Chars lose HP

My Fighter -> Thief who sit at 161000xp in BG1 has 76 HP.
70 From fighter 7 lvls, 6 from 8th thief level. This is correct.

Importing this character to BG2 removes ALL fighter lvl hp and replaces it with the HP of a lvl 8 Thief.

In effect, importing dual-classed characters to BG2 will in some (all?) cases completely ignore the accumulated HP from your first class. This is a very serious nerfing bug.

Huge difference from my supposed to be 76 hp to 48 when imported to BG2.

Please fix this yesterday ;)

The only possible workaround right now seems to be if I have a save pre-dual classing, yet still have found the Dex and Str manuals. So I can get those bonuses, import the incomplete char to bg2 and then CLUA the remaining xp.. but this all seems so unnecessary.. haven't gotten the eekeeper to work on 2ee yet.

Yes.. cool too, that O_o !
.. but yes, EEKeeper seems to be the easiest thing to use for a few things important /imports quick fixes (portraits, fixing HPs troubles - dual classes here, but also with familiars..-, etc).

I tested v1.0.2.1 and it worked great AND can be used for both games BG1EE AND BG2EE; very handy!
(just use it and reenter your correct final preBGEee HPs..and done*) )

    thx to Troodon80 again.. ^^ /

I saw someone else with this problem, they just started the game in a lower difficulty to get maximum rolls on hp.

    That doesn't help though.

Getting the HP rerolled isn't the issue here, it's the way the game is doing it.

Like stated above, in BG1 i had 70hp from 7 Fighter lvls, 6 from 1 Thief level. (7F dual to Thief final hp roll on Thief lvl 8)

However, on importing to BG2 it completely overlooks the Fighter hitpoints and gives you the hp for 8 Thief levels, which is a hell of a lot less than the Fighter HP i had previously accumulated.

In other words, importing a dual classed character makes BG2 ignore your first class hitpoint rolls.

If you're a Thief dual classed to Fighter, it would end up with giving you a lot more hp than you should have. But as in my case, having dualed from Fighter, i lost a lot of hp.

I had this issue, initially, and just EEkeeper'd my health to an average roll for what I should have, problem is it seems to be changing on a continual basis, sometimes I notice I have around 30 more health, sometimes 40 less. Let me know if you see something like this when playing your duals.
