Problems downloading from PPG?

impsyimpsy Member Posts: 5
Hi everyone - I just got EE yesterday and have been furiously downloading all my favorite old mods (thanks for all the work everyone did updating), but I'm having some issues and wondering if I'm the only one. I'm trying to get UB and DungeonBGone from Pocket Plane Group and the downloads either won't start, or start and freeze up at a fraction completed and never finish. Everything else has downloaded fine. I was just wondering if I was the only one, or if anyone knew of mirrors that had the updated versions somewhere?
Thanks :)

You posted this thread 4 months ago, I've been having the same issue for 4 months. The mirrors on PPG webpage seem to be out of order- that means no Unfinished Business, no Ashes of Embers, no Flirtpacks either... A huge blow for us all....

I just downloaded Unfinished Business, Ashes of Embers and NPC Flirt pack from PPG. The three archives are opened properly by 7-Zip and I checked that I could read the readme of each mod in order to ensure that the archive is valid. I'm refering to the newest Windows versions of the mods.
I downloaded UB about a month ago and at least another mod in the same time frame. I didn't face any problem either.

I used Firefox to download files. If you're facing a problem to download, try another browser. There were reports about problems with Internet Explorer on some websites, including Beamdog for the client software, for instance.
I checked Ashes of Ember v27 with IE 11 just now and it downloaded the file properly too.

I have nor had any problems with downloading from PPG using Chrome either.

Various people reported this problem but our host was never able to figure out the precise cause, except that it was probably routing-oriented (a problem between your machine and the server) rather than client-related (an issue of browser choice.)

We may have finally implemented a workaround. If anybody who has been having trouble can try another download from PPG, I'd appreciate it.
