BG2 EE WIN 7 slowdowns

in BGII:EE Bugs (v1.2.2030)
I am having huge performance issues, game is lagging in doors from time to time.
My system is
amd fx(tm)-8150 Eigh Core Processor 3.6 ghz
AMD RADEON HD 7800 SERIES DRIVER 13.152.0.0(LATEST)
16 GB RAM
st31000524AS ATA device
WIN7 ULTIMATE 64 BIT
Directx 11
BIOS VER 04.06.04

    lots of us are having this problem, we believe it to be a memory leak, sometimes my game uses up more than 1.3 gigs of ram
