NPCs Talk Over Their Own Dialog

When initiating dialog with the player character, NPCs say one of their selection lines. This is fine when the dialog has no specific voiceover, but with voiced dialog it should be avoided, because the selection line and the dialog voiceover starts playing at the same time, causing a cacophony.

I have noticed this too. It is not game breaking, but it is a bit annoying.

When a party member initiates voiced dialogue, the selection sound and the dialogue sound are played simultaneously.

Hope this gets fixed, it's annoying and it's screwing up some important dialogs. Because if a dialog has voiceovers then it's probably important and 1-time only.

So far, I've found that nearly every NPC dialogue sequence in BG2EE is muddled by the character selection voice being played at the same time a NPC first initiates dialogue. Since most of the voice acting is at the beginning of a dialogue, it's unfortunately drowned out by the selection sound being played simultaneously. I don't remember this ever being the case with original BG2, and it isn't the case with BGEE. I've turned off the character selection sounds in the Option menu, but it doesn't affect this issue.
