Help! Forgot Perdue's Sword!

OK, looking back at my quests, it appears I forgot to loot Perdue's sword from the gnolls at High Hedge. I went back to an old save point and went back to the High Hedge map and found it still there with the other loot. However, right now and in later saves, if I go there it is gone. So, I'm pretty sure I overlooked it and didn't sell it, so I'm assuming it is gone forever.

Googling old posts, I saw you can do something to get it into your inventory. It is something about CLUA Console and a code (SW1H17). Unfortunately, I'm not computer savvy enough to know what that exactly means. Anyone care to explain what I have to do to get the sword? Any help would be great!

    Go to baldur.ini.
Add this line under Game Options:
    'Game Options', 'Debug Mode', '1',
    Now, load up your game.
Press and hold Shift and then press space
now type this in the bar that appears at the bottom:
    CLUAConsole:CreateItem("SW1H17")
and it should appear in your inventory.

It's times like this that I'm thankful that I'm a psychopathic hoarder.

I tried this, but when I Press and hold Shift and then press space, it only Pauses the game.

    Not 'Game Options'

You pick up items that appear to be non-magical garbage? :P

Seriously, Perdue's short sword really needs to look a bit different than other short swords.. Its too easy to come across it and discard it as a completely useless item unless you've played so often that you know exactly what and where it is.

Jedi, is it an OCD must complete all quests thing? I know it can't be for the 50 gold.

After passing the dialogue test he gives you, you'd think Perdue would give you something worthwhile.

It gives a decent amount of experience for a quest that you can easily complete at level 1 :P

Something like that. It is something my character would do (lawful good). I forgot about it and the Journal works kind of funky, so I was going through seeing what I missed. I normally loot the stuff and sell, but I got tired of lugging weapons that weren't worth a lot. Must of just saw it as a sword and not clicked on it to see it was Perdue's.

Oh, and thanks all! It worked, so I don't have to back track!
