Help with Happy Patch.

Hey, everyone. Currently doing a play-through of a weird Melee Dragon's Disciple (The AC bonus helps a lot!), and wanted to use CamDawg's amazing Bg2 Tweaks for the Higher HP on level up, and Happy Patch.

Dorn and Viconia keep leaving when my rep goes above 18. I tried to be evil, really, I did! I just can't do it...

Can you guys help me figure out how to install it? I used to be really good at the procedure. I would do the resolution and widescreen mods, then bg1+2 fixpacks, and so on. But I can't seem to figure out how to do it for BG:EE.

I tried to copy and paste Dialog.tlk after the procedure, but BG2tweaks V14 is giving me the "Not a game directory" error in the root BG:EE directory. Not in the Data/766 folder, just the root one. Thanks, guys!

Also, playing on the 3/4 damage difficulty for always learn spells, and the max hp, but I feel so low.

    No idea, but I think you can also just edit their alignment to neutral (or even good) in EEKeeper, can't you?

    I was never able to get that patch to work properly, either.. I wanted both Ajantis and Dorn in my party so used NPCs never fight and the Happy Patch, but Ajantis kept leaving anyways.

    As far as difficulty, you can just turn it down when scribing spells and leveling up, then turn it back up to Core rules when you're finished doing that.

    It's soo easy to be evil. For example instead of stealing a cloak from aldaron, simply kill him. That should net you not only the cloak, but also at least -4 reputation. In short, blackmail, lie and kill your way until you have a decent reputation. ^^

    Really? I thought they were working. Huh. Well, I could try to shadowkeeper them, but I'm afraid the leave on reputation gain might be hardcoded.

    @Camdawg

    Can you possibly shed some light on the current version of BG:EE (1.2) and BG2Tweaks (14) and whether they play nicely?

    Okay, I found a workaround. If anyone has the same problem, use Near Infinity, and load up your BG:EE Chitin.key file. Scroll to the Happy.2da in 2da's, and change the evil alignment after 18 to be lower. It seems to work so far, and hopefully will fix the problem.

    Not sure which .2da it would be for Max Hp on level-up, but I'm looking now.

    I haven't tested this yet, but it should be possible to edit the hpxxx.2da files so that the "rolls" column is all 0s and the "modifier" column is whatever number you want for max hp/level (12 for barbarian, 8 for cleric, etc). This would make it so that even on hard or insane settings the "random" roll for hit points is just a straight number.
