Neera and other characters are downloadable content???

in General Discussion (Spoiler Warning!)
I haven't been keeping up with the 'changes' that are going on. I just downloaded BGII EE, and after going through the setup screens just found out that the new characters have to be purchased separately as DLC(!??).

I have not found a link to do that, but I know that people are already talking about Neera. Thus people must have managed to get her somehow. What did I miss???

    All optional DLC are included in the PC version.

    If you noticed when you bought the game, the mac version and other versions were cheaper. This is because you get all the "DLC" included when you buy the windows version of the game. In this case, the NPCs.
