De'Arnise Keep outside map constant crash

in BGII:EE Bugs (v1.2.2030)
I cannot go outside and open the drawbridge or do anything at all outside, I crash almost instantly each time I venture outside!

I have installed BG2Tweaks and SCS v27

Specs are:
Win 7 64-bit
Core i5 750 2.67Ghz
4GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti 1GB RAM

    update: removing full screen and playing in windowed worked...no crash.

    why? :)
