Mac Mod Installation issues after BGII-EE release

Anyone having problems installing mods on the Mac since BG2-EE came out? I find it is not working at all for me anymore. I now always get the same kind of error trying to install any mod, even in my old BG-EE:

MacBook-Pro:Resources games$ ./setup-imoenfriendship

My new BG Mac Mod Installer (latest version 2.1) runs, it gives me a list of the mods available, and correctly finds WEIDU (latest version WEIDU Mac 235). I can select any one of my Mods to install, then Terminal starts running and it calls the setup file and then... splat! it immediately crashes with that kind of error above.

This happens for both BG-EE and BGII-EE, and for every single mod I've tried from 3 different authors. So it feels like I'm doing something wrong or have installed the wrong version of something... but my WEIDU and my BG Mac Mod Installer are the very latest versions (as far as I know). I am OSX 10.6.8 if that matters.

Anyone else experiencing this, or have any idea what's going on? I feel stoopid and frustrated!
