Characters circles not appearing

in BGII:EE Bugs (v1.2.2030)
When I give directions to my party I like to right click and turn the mouse around to position tanks in front. Sometimes however this function stop working. When I right click nothing happens. Quicksave/quickload fixes it. I've noticed this started to happen in BGEE since 1.2. And now also in BG2EE.
