how to travel outside the city of Amn

in New Players (NO SPOILERS!)
Please help I just got that nalia quest and told her i would meet her at the stronghold but when i go to leave it won't let me go to the stronghold does she have to be in the party please help how do you travel outside of the city

    U just go to any map transition point. The D'Arnise Hold/Keep should show up as somewhere u can click on to the East of Athkatla.

    By the way, Amn is the name of a country, Athkatla is the name of its capitol city.

    If the EE is the same as original BG2 then the first time you leave Athkatla you must do so via the City Gates.

    As the other people said. Athkatle is "The city of Amn". Go to the gates on the east sides, leave the map through the gate and go to D'Arnise.

    It took Me AGES to realize this in my first run, I think I had like 2.5 million XP in each character in the moment I knew how to get out :P XD
