Crash when starting a new game

Hello chaps,

Just got the new BGII EE, loaded everything up, then the game freezes when I hit "new game."

Every other button seems to work fine (I can get to the "load game" screen even though there's nothing there to load).

I'm attaching a copy of the crash file that was generated.

    Update: starting a new game for Throne of Baal and the Black Pits 2 causes the same crash.

    I haven't installed anything other than the game itself after download. I don't even seem to have a /portrait directory.

    I had the some problem... uninstall and redownload the game solved the problem for me
