Not gaining reputation?

I have done multiple quest lines including the Shade Lord, Garren's son, Planar Sphere, and the DeArnise keep, choosing the good path in each case. I not received any reputation gain from doing any part of these quests. Is this normal?

Emptiness

I'm in chapter 2, and I've gained one point of reputation so far. I haven't really been completing a lot of quests, so I'm not surprised I don't have more. Unfortunately, I don't happen to recall what awarded me the point.

I'm pretty sure you should at least get +1 for the Shade Lord quest line. Not sure about the others

I am playing a Dark Moon Monk CHARNAME with Dorn, Viconia, Edwin, and Hexxat. I have just completed the Trademeet Druid quest and also the Djinn merchant quest and have not gained reputation. The only way for me to raise reputation it appears is through the temple.

I did the Trademeet Druid quest and was awarded a point of reputation for it. Main character is a N/N Berserker/Druid, reputation before the award was 11. (This was pre-patch, but that probably doesn't matter because I don't see any related fixes listed in the patch notes.) (The Djinn Merchant quest did not award me reputation, which is probably intended since it is relatively minor.)

Oh, and I've also done Garren's Child and the de'Arnise Keep; neither of those increased my reputation.

Hmm, reputation is gained through certain dialog trees, though it is unlikely you managed to avoid them all if you were aiming to make the "good" responses. If you have a save near a place that you expect to gain reputation, I can tell you the exact dialog that should give a point of reputation so we can be sure that this is a bug and not something we've overlooked.

Planar Sphere, De'Arnise keep or saving Garren Windspear's [b]daughter[/b] did not give you any reputation increase even in vanilla BGII, as far as I remember. You get rep up from the mayor of Imnesvale after defeating Shade Lord, but only if you're not too greedy with reward he gives you.
You can definetly get rep up from quests such as:
-Trouble in Circus tent at Waukeen's Promenade
-Hendak's request to deal with slavers in the Slums
-Cult of the Unseeing Eye
-Solve serial killings quest at the Bridge District
-Give Neb's head to the authorities (part of the temple of Helm sidequest)
-Trouble in Trademeet
-Saving Skin Dancer's victim in Trademeet
-Freeing slaves in Ust'Natha
-Saving thralls at illithid enclave in the Underdark
