Vernus won't go away [spoiler]

in BGII:EE Bugs (v1.2.2030)
1. Enter the tree with the summoning stones
2. Tell Dorn you want to summon a sapient being
3. He says ok, then says "Some one has entered the circle". It is Vernus, who hasn't left.
4. Clicking on Vernus does not start any dialog.
5. Summoning a sapient being does nothing. Vernus always gets sacrificed

    Ha. I am replaying Dorn's quest and encountered the bug again. I googled and found my own bug report that I forgot about.
