New characters in BG2

Do the new companions in BG2EE have much dialog with other companions and NPCs? Do they feel integrated with the world?

I don't want spoilers I just want to know if I should only use the new characters for their personal quests or if i should have them along all the time.

    They have dozens of banters with the original NPCs and comment on quests and plot events.

    I've been playing with Dorn and Hexxat in a team with Edwin, Korgan, and Viconia and I find they fit in well. They have a number of lines with the other party members, and their lines have changed from the fully voiced in BGEE to the more normal BG2 style of voicing the first line or particularly important bits, so I find they integrate really well. They seem a lot less out of place than they did in BGEE :)

    Oh yes they do.. I particularly enjoyed Hexxats dialog(s) with..
