Remake the Map?

It always bugged me that the BG map was not technically "correct." For example, Ulgoth's Beard is actually south-west of Baldur's Gate, not north-east. Also, Durlag's Tower is south of Gullykin and the Firewine Bridge in-game, but appears north of the two in the physical (or downloadable) map.

They are aware to the incorrectness of the maps, though they are not answered to anything regarding the worldmap

As an aside, I love the BG2 world map because of how insane it is. Entire mountain ranges clearly defined in earlier maps of Faerun are just missing.

Don't get me started on the ToB map... it makes even less sense.

There also a discussion ( though no the same topic ) that I opened regarding the world map,as expected, no official answer yet..
