No XP reward for Shroud of the Unproved quest?

I'll describe the problem in private lest it spoil anyone's fun ... :-)

It's possible to achieve the Shroud of the Unproved for Hexxat without fighting the spider queen -- pick the right dialogue options and she'll give it to you peacefully. But there is no XP reward for this.


Is this intentional or is it a bug/oversight?

    Nothing to stop you from getting that XP reward after...

    Is this the end of her quest? I just recently finished that part (I think I missed something big though).
