in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
While exploring the shadow temple in the Umar Hills, I found a shred of a journal that hinted at a cache hidden somewhere. It talked of a column of rock where I could find it, but I checked all the nearby columns in the woods there, and found nothing. anyone know where I could find it?

    It's been quite some time since I played my archer (vanilla SoA in-fact), but I believe it's a ranger-stronghold quest where you receive the other half of the journal and find the cache.

    @Tsyrith is correct. You can only finish this quest as part of the Ranger Stronghold quest line, even though anyone can find the first half.
