'Active' Inventory Slots Look Weird

This is what my weapon loadout looks like in the main game screen:
Here's the same loadout in the inventory screen:
Notice how the first picture shows a green rectangle around the selected weapon. This is easy to spot and not too obtrusive, it's great.
Now the second picture shows what an active weapon slot looks like in the inventory. It's basically a greyscale version of the inactive one, which, first, is barely noticeable, and second, it in no way implies "this is the weapon you are using". Please implement the same green rectangle graphic that is also used on the main game screen.
This problem is present in both BG:EE and BG2:EE. It also applies to ammo slots.
