What's the current story with kit mods?

I tried a mod from song and silence and it's greyed out, so I went looking. I found this thread: http://forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?showtopic=25785&st=15 , but this is beyond me, I think.
So do they not work, period? Do they need an update to Weidu or BG2EE? Will they work if the individual author of the mod specifically updates it for BG2EE? Can I fix a kit to work?
If it can't be done, I'll live. I'm just hoping to get a sense of the situation.

Still no answer. I'm not sure if its hard or easy, but I didn't see an updated mod that adds new Kits till now.
I exported the CLASTEXT.2DA CLSRCREQ.2DA and clascolr.2da to my override added my new entry and near enough copied what the sorcerer had. i think the important file to get the mod to work is CLSRCREQ.2DA
I didnt know what to put in most of the entries for CLASTEXT.2DA... which i think is the reason my kit showed up as sorcerer instead of the kit name
the kit i wanted was the wild sorcerer kit found somewhere here...

anyways it wouldn't work because the new patch added some more .2da files, as described in the top and 3rd post of this thread...

so all i did was apply the kitmod and add a new entry for the kit in the 3 new .2da files which i exported to my override folder.
i hope that makes sense.^^
theres also another sorcerer kit in the top link btw. its for eldritch knight.
