Keldorn: Cannot initiate dialogue.

I've stumbled across an unreported bug. It occurs when visiting Keldorn,
after you give him another day off to spend with his family (for his quest).
He agrees to meet you at his estate after a day. So I went ahead and rest for a full day at an inn.
Upon entering his house and trying to converse with him, I get:

You cannot initiate dialogue. Keldorn appears busy.

Expected behavior: Initiate dialogue.
Current behavior: Appears busy. (Script crash)

Bug occurs with or without mods installed. (Only have Unfinished Business, since your product doesn't restore & complete that content)

Until a bugfix gets issued, a temporary workaround is
to enable debug mode (Check http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/8317/),
then hit Ctrl+Q in-game while the mouse pointer is on Keldorn to force him to join the party,
then kick him out of the party again.

After doing that, the proper dialogue script initiates normally
and you are given the option to have him rejoin the party without cheating.

EDIT: Saving and re-loading the game might also reload the script normally,
so there's no need to resort to using the console.

I just discovered this playing it on my iPad and I can't get him back. Kinda sucks as he is my fav NPC. Any word on a patch for it?

This one fell through the cracks so to speak.

Have you tried @EAngelos89's workaround of save/reload? If not then you've got 2 options:

    1) Download a saved game from your iPad via iFunBox and zip/upload it here so we can try to fix the issue.

    2) Load the saved game to your own/your friends windows or mac copy of the game and run the Ctrl-Q trick posted above via that, then re-load the game back to your iPad and continue playing.

Once we have a saved game, we may be able to figure out what went wrong.
