UI is off center - top R off screen

in BGII:EE Bugs (v1.2.2030)
So Im on an early 2013 15" retina macbook. When I launch BG2EE the UI is moved slightly up and right, so that the bottom left is just black. This means that the topmost icons on the interface are missing. If I navigate to the graphics menu and switch to windowed mode and back it solves the problem, but it would be nice not to have to do this every time. Id stay in windowed mode except scrolling doesn't seem to work.
