***SPOILERS*** Question about importing BG 1 file to BG 2

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
If you are an evil character and/or Jaheira/Minsc didn't survive BG 1, are they still in the starting dungeon in BG2?

    Yes, and any other NPCs who are scripted to show up in BG2 will do so even if you killed them in BG1. The game doesn't import any plot flags (though if it sees Drizzt's gear in your inventory, I think it assumes you killed/harassed him).

    Whoops, then things may get ugly since I was wearing his chainmail... but it was a freak lightning strike that got him! I swear!
