[Multiplayer] Trying to play cross-platform iPad to PC but mismatched version

While we're waiting for the iPad version to be brought up to date, I would like to play multiplayer with my friend. I have the PC version and he has the iPad, so we get errors when we try to join each other's games. Is there a way to downgrade my PC copy to an earlier version to match the iPad's?
