DLTCEP area tileset extraction problem

prophet1prophet1 Member Posts: 172
Not sure if it's a bug or I'm doing something wrong, but I can't get DLTCEP to correctly extract area bitmaps when doing "Save Tileset As..." for EE tilesets. Resulting bitmaps each time have glitches in the form of "splits" - vertical and horizontal lines along tile borders. See attached screenshots below from BG2EE areas AR1401 and AR1402.

First noticed the problem with v7.6a of DLTCEP, today saw this on the changelog for v7.6g:
v7.6g
- fixed extracting tileset into bmp
and instantly upgraded hoping the problem is addressed. But it's still there even with this new version. Attached area images were extracted with 7.6g.

I really need area bitmap extraction to work on a custom area, any idea what this is and how to fix it? @Avenger_teambg?

I have no cure for the splits as of now. It is an existing problem with dltcep vs tis v2.

Yeah, I'm just using vanilla BG2 tilesets myself. If you don't have it installed, I could extract them if you want.

@Alkalurops Already installed and got what I needed, but thanks for offering.

@Avenger_teambg I see, thanks for clarifying. Hopefully someday we'll be able to extract new areas as well (without having to fix them up in PS after, I mean), but I understand if it has to wait because of other outstanding critical issues. :)

@prophet You can use Near Infinity preview and make screenshot. You need only have resolution greater than area, really I once do it, I was desperate :P

Near Infinity can extract the area tilesets as pngs without glitches - just tested on ar0100 EE
