Potions, Scribe Scroll.

So, I was surprised not to have read anything about Scroll Scribing, and potion making. I used to use those a lot in DnD 2nd Edition, and always wondered if it would be feasible in BG? Maybe an XP penalty, along with possibly gems, and/or gold to fabricate them. Could prove a good way to render low level mages actually useful!

Not saying it shouldn't be implemented for people that want it just wondering what the point would be besides roleplaying.
Hehe, but I guess that's true. They should tweak something for the beginning though, mages are seriously shafted compared to other classes at the beginning, especially pure mages. Single spell, usually sleep. It's kind of a hit or miss thing. Up until that ring of wizardry in Friendly Arm, hehe.
Especially against those pesky wolves at the beginning! :-)
Pseudo-Dragon, I choose you!
I think in BG2, it depended on your alignment. But their stats are likely to scale with levels, as the ones you can get in BG2, could take on anything on their own in the beginning. ( ie. the two assassins at the beginning, hehehe!)
The Faerie Dragon you could get with Chaotic Good, if I remember correctly? They are arguably the best one you can get, with invisibility, and mirror image available.
Haha, totally. Nobody can resist the cuteness! Friendship prevails! :P
