#11003 Thief/Cleric cannot lockpick and steal in Black Pits2

This multiclass is missing appropriate button on the quickbar, when I assign the ablity to a quick key, it does nothing too.

    You're not wearing plate or chainmail, right? I'm not sure, but I believe you can only do thieving stuff with Studded and below.

    I am naked. They forgot to add the button. Try it in Black Pits, create this multiclass character and see.

    I had the same issue; as it turns out, there's no room on the main bar for turn undead, find traps, hide in shadows, cast spells, etc. so they stuffed thieving skills into the special abilities bar. Fortunately in EE "Thieving" can be hotkeyed, so it's not very much out of the way.

    In BGEE1, thieving is in the special ability bar, but in BG2EE, it is not there :) A tried hotkeying in options too, but with no effect - character is not able to steal/lockpick.

    Just tried it. The thieving button was in the special ability bar and I had no problem using it.
    Odd.

    Printscreen of Cleric/Thief in Black Pits2 - as you can see, special ability button is not clickable (gray) .

    Just made a Cleric/Thief in Black Pits 2, the thieving skill is in the special abilities bar. Are you using any mods?

    Did you actually click on the special abilities button? The game currently has issues with rendering contrast properly so icons usually appear grey when they shouldn't. But the thieving button should be in there regardless. If it's not, then it's definitely a bug.

    Did click and nothing happens, it is not active. Save included, the character is named Cleric/Thief.

    Your save clearly has a problem.
    But when I create a new character in my game, it works perfectly.

    Maybe you should repair your installation?

    I was able to recreate the issue. I'm not particularly familiar with the Black Pits 2, but it seems that the dead magic debuff you get also disables any special abilities. You'll notice thieves cannot lay traps, dragon disciples cannot use their flame breath, etc. Since the "thieving" skill was moved into the special abilities bar, it is also inadvertently disabled. Hotkeys do not help, the skill itself is disabled.

    This definitely appears to be a bug.

    There are objects/people to lockpick/pickpocket in black pits 2. They can be thieved with different class thieves ( I tried). Possible solution for this problem might be changing turn undead button for thieving button, this means turn undead in special abilities and thieving in quickbar in the next patch.

    Meanwhile, I recommend not using cleric/thief as your thief in black pits 2 :)

    In black pits the starting area allows you to use special abilities but if you leave the area with the beds then you can no longer use thieving skills. That is probably why people making new game can use the ability. You have to leave the starting room.

    I'm surprised this bug hasn't been fixed yet. Maybe it can't. It's annoying not being able to use a cleric/thief.

    A good idea would be to remove the disable button eff opcode 144 that has a parameter2/button value of 13, by thus removing any type of innate ability and a c/t's pick locks/remove traps/pick pockets.
