All Area Map markers gone. please help

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
My cat decided to walk across my keyboard while i was looking at my area map and now all the markers are gone in my game in Baldur's Gte, Baragost, Nashkel, everwhere. even the ones i didn't add myself!. is there something i can do to bring them back or would i have to start my game again?
