Is it safe to store items in Dragomir's respite?

I believe Dragomir's respite is probably one of the most useful items in the game, I have been using it as a container to store various items. Has anyone experience items stored in Dragomir's respite gone missing?

    I've been using Dragomir's Respite as my quest item/items I want to save for later or occasional use holder and I have not experienced any problems with it. It's a really nice item to have early in the game. Once I got to spellhold my inventory has been so clean since I put all the things I want to sell in the bag of holding and everything i want to keep in Dragomir's Respite. I'm in TOB now and it's still working fine, even for things like when NPC's perform item checks on you.
