Where are the portraits and voices I purchased in BG1?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Why in the heck would they not automatically be transferred to my BG2 game???
And why can't I import my Black Pits party into the new one?? Seriously this is disappointing.

    Ok thanks I guess, its a little irksome that I'd have to jump through technical hoops just to access thing I bought in the previous game. I mean is it really that hard to have the files copied during installation? And there should be a BIG RED BUTTON that says 'Import Party from BG1' or something... sheesh.

    I must add also, the BG1 additional portraits are AWESOME and WAY better than the measly 3 you get with BG2. That's why I really want to use them again.
