Greetings.
There are many companions to choose between in BG2 EE. I want to try to do the story quest for most of them, but im not sure if im alowed to do that?
If i kick a member from my group, can i always get them back or is there some form of limits to this?
I see that i can find Yoshimo in Copper Cornet after i kick him, but what about all others?
Regards

I know one case where an NPC will just flat out abandon you and vanish if you kick them:
Also removing an NPC with whom you have or are working on a relationship will clear all thoughts of romance from their mind.

Hope this helps you with your decisions.
Cheers.

I don't see that as a problem at all. Age or passing of time does not invalidate most content and new folks may learn and appreciate old content too. People still visit StackOverflow, for instance, even though it is nowhere near as active as it once used to be.

To the topic: for most companions one can take them back again at a later time, excluding a few who may make it harder to re-recruit them, such as Jaheira; though in ToB you should be able to get back even the salty ones. What I usually do is solve the quests of NPCs, then kick them out when I did so for some. For instance, after Jaheira's quest is done, I kick her out. Though it may depend on the party composition.
