What party?

I have been thinking about what party to play as. This is rather dependent on teh alignment of the new characters, but i would hazard a guess that you can expect the monk to be lawful good; Neera to be (chaotic) neautral; and Dorn to be (neutral) evil. With a view of incorporating the new characters, my parties are going to look thus:

Good BG1:
Me (Cleric)
Neera
Rasaad
Imoen/Coran
Minsc
Kivan

Good BG2:
Me (Cleric)
Neera
Rasaad
Yoshimo/Imoen
Keldorn
minsc

Evil BG1:
Me (bard)
Neera
Dorn
Viconia
Shar Teel
Montaron

Evil BG2:
Me (bard)
Neera
Dorn
Jan
Korgan (swapped for Sarevok)
Viconia

Thoughts? I am slightly interested by Neera's past and how she would get on with Edwin though.

    Of course i'll use all 3 of the new npc's to see what their potential power is, then accordingly to my tastes, i'll change the party or keep it that way.

    Just assuming from their character describition, but I thought Neera would be CG, Rasaad LN, and Dorn NE.

    Anyway, your parties look really good, but I would put Edwin in your evil playthroughs as he is a funny and endearing character and he is the best mage in the game to boot.

    I often swap out characters since I personally hardly ever use ressurection - too cheap and introduces too many plot holes. But as an "ideal" I'm currently thinking about:
    BG1 True Neutral Cleric of Oghma (RP only, in game terms an unkitted Cleric) who is obsessed with the acquisition different types of knowledge at ay cost, and his NPC choices will reflect this as follows:
    -Neera, Knowledge of the Weave
    -Rasaad, Knowledge of Self-Perfection
    -Faldorn, Knowledge of Nature
    -Dorn, Knowledge of Fiends
    -Viconia, Knowledge of the Underdark
    Essentially, to get into his party you have to have a unique/exotic form of knowledge that intrigues him at your disposal. Backup characters could include:
    -Dynahier, Knowledge of Wychlaran Magic
    -Edwin, Knowledge of the Red Wizards
    -Yeslick, Knowledge of Dwarf Lore

    For BG2 I think it would looks something like
    -Haer'Dalis, Knowledge of the Planes
    -Jan, Knowledge of Engineering/Turnips
    -Neera, Knowledge of the Weave
    -Rasaad, Knowledge of Self-Perfection
    -Dorn, Knowledge of Fiends

    With backups:
    -Yoshi, Knowledge of Kara-Tur
    -Aerie, Knowledge of the Winged Elves
    -Viconia, Knowledge of the Underdark
    -Edwin, Knowledge of the Red Wizards/Femininity
    -Sarevok, Knowledge of the Prophecies of Alaundo (Will probably ditch Jan for him in ToB)

    My BG1 party is, as it always does, going to consist of pretty much every character at different points in the game. My end game party is probably going to be:
    1. Xavioria (Fighter/Mage)
    2. Imoen (Love the girl to pieces)
    3. Shar-Teel (She get's me ;))
    4. Safana (we have loads of lezzy love stories)
    5. Dorn (because he's freaking sexy)
    6. Branwen (Awesomest amazon lady evar)

    I'm obviously going to dual Imoen to Mage for continuity reasons unless if the story changes (whichis doubtful) I'm hoping they make branwen with a tempus kit that's like what is currently available on Divine Remix... because... that kit on her makes Branwen freaking amazing in my book.

    I'm bringing back my Dark Sisterhood from the BGT run (with a few tweaks):

    1. Selene, NE Elven Sorceress
    2. Dorn, token male and love interest (replacing Shar-Teel) - front-line fighter
    3. Jaheira - front-line fighter
    4. Imoen - token Good Girl, thief/archer
    5. Viconia - cleric/ranged
    6. Neera - secondary mage (replacing Edwin, unless she turns out to be another Aerie with the constant pity parties, in which case it's back to "Edwina").
