Hm? None of them are mind controlled. If they are hostile you probably hit the delusional guy with an AoE.

Yay.... Guess that screws it for me then :p

and ofc.. my last save is after that aoe..

Apparently I cant edit my post.. Is there some way to turn them back into friendlies so I can get on with the quest ?

I'm sure there is, but it involves leet haxxing skillz which I don't have. So wait for someone who has them :)

I guess the "hit with aoe" theory stands to reason.. the woman left in the camp also hates my guts..

once again foiled by a fireball that went trough the wrong closed door!!

    We will correct this.

As of the next patch accidentally damaging "King" Gramm with an AoE spell in the Red Wizard Enclave will no longer cause the other wild mages to turn hostile.

    Great!

Will this change my save game or will it work for new games created after the patch?

And do any one know a solution that would work for me now so I dont have to wait for the patch before pressing on :) ?

I'm afraid this is another instance of a non-retroactive fix.

It will prevent the wild mages from going hostile if they haven't already done so, but it won't revert the hostility if it has already occurred.

Hmm okay.. So I guess my best bet would be to somehow reset the quest so I can do it again.. this time without nuking the whole damn place from orbit...

Isn't there a variable somewhere that decides this?
  • KharasKharas Member Posts: 150
Thank you! I will give that a try :)

"sigh" apparently you cant access the Console if you have windows 7 and have installed the game in the default directory... Screw this.. guess I will wait with saving those damn ticking time bombs until my mage playtrough :p

Works fine for me, though again I won't be the one to figure out what nerdy stuff you've done wrong :P

I don't think so : the .ini file is located in your "My Documents" folder, that isn't protected by Windows 7.
You might be doing the wrong thing.

The variable can set them hostile, but not vice versa.

If you feel adventurous, you can try to get all mages within your line of sight (e.g. under invisibility, so that they can't see you), hit the pause and then open console with CTRL-Space.
Type in C:SetGlobal("ohn_refuge_hostile","GLOBAL",0) and enter it
Still paused, type C:Eval("ChangeEnemyAlly(Myself,NEUTRAL)") then hover the mouse cursor over one of the mages and enter it
Repeat the previous step for all hostile mages

It still may not work, at least not from the first attempt.

You sir, are a scholar and a gentleman.

TERRIBLE quest design on BeamDog's part.

Um...you can access the console just fine, regardless of Windows 7 or where you installed the game. See here for how to activate the console: https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/12992/working-cheats-for-bg-ee

Dude, this is over two years old. I'm pretty sure this was fixed long ago.
