Launcher Update Crash Fix

For those of you suffering the Launcher Crash problem, I have discovered a fix:
The Problem:
* You start the Launcher.
* It displays the Launcher window with some patch info text.
* The status bar will say "Connecting..." or "Checking Files...".
* The Launcher crashes with a Windows dialog saying "Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition Launcher has stopped working" and with a "Close Program" button.
While the currently downloadable version does have significant Intel chip issues fixed by the latest patch, this has nothing to do with the chip set. It is a P2P network problem. You must disable P2P while the Launcher downloads and installs the current update.
The Fix:
* Start the Launcher.
* You will see to the right of the bottom status bar an orange square and the text "Use P2P". That orange square is actually a checked checkbox.
* You must be quick and will probably have to try this multiple times as the Launcher crashes fast.
* Quickly try to click on that orange square to uncheck the box. The Launcher will probably crash again.
* Re-start the Launcher and see if the checkbox is now unchecked. If not, accept the crash and keep trying.
* If it is unchecked, it should now download the current patch, apply it, and display the "Play" button that will start the game.
Remember, this is just for the Launcher crash problem and not the many other problems that can occur after you click the "Play" button once the Launcher has downloaded and applied any updates.
This issue and fix have been sent to the Beamdog team with a recommendation that they provide a command line argument to the Launcher that specifies the initial state of the "Use P2P" checkbox, and a *VERY* obvious means by which a user can find out if they need to use it and how.
Hopefully this post will be made a sticky.
