Dialogue loop with Aran Lanvail

I can't progress through the story quest because every time I talk to Aran Lanvail in the shadow thieves guild he keeps repeating a message as if I am meeting him before the quest I just did. My journal updated that I completed the latest step, but then it updated again with a previous step after I talked to him. No matter how many times I talk to him he says the same thing. I went back to try to repeat the step he wanted me to do, but it is finished and I can't do it again.

    I was able to fix it by re-recruiting Hexxat before talking to him. It seems that if you have Hexxat in your party before you do the quest where you must find Mook and then you have her leave the party, Aran Linvail will get stuck in this dialogue loop. Hope this is helpful in case anyone encounters a similar problem.

    @Elrim Have you got a savegame from before you fixed it? It'd be incredibly helpful in ensuring it gets fixed and tested quickly. :)
