#7214 [BUG] Bard HLA Magic Flute?

Tested with BG2EE/TOB v1.2.2030. Long time i did not launch the original BG2/TOB, but..i don't think i remember that behaviour in the original ; normal ??

Bard HLA Magic Flute observed behaviour :
When you 'summon' a MF, you get only 1 (random) spell effect by flute (*).. to get all three effects, must have 3 different flutes (also, 3 quick/inventory slots needed to get the 3 effects at the same time..)..after resting (8h) You can get 3 times the same flutes.. AND, flutes are disappearing as usual after one day (24h) (**)..so you almost never get the 3 different effects at the same time...

Bard HLA Magic Flute expected behaviour (*) :
Well, just ONE flute containing all THREE sub effects (freely choosable & switchable at will). AND with 1 HLA you can collect up to three flutes at the same time (3 rests/24h) ).

Classes: Bard
This ability creates a magic flute made of pure magical energy. When played, the flute can
be used to cast the following spells:
Resist Fear (Party) - 1 charge
Globe of Invulnerability - 1 charge
Delayed Blast Fireball - 3 charges
The spell-like abilities on the Flute are used in the same way that a wand's powers are used.
The Flute lasts for 1 day.

Another weird thing: if you put the magic flute(s) in your quick slot(s), and THEN it/they disappear(s) in your inventory (after 24h).. it/their image(s) is/are always on the main screen UI quick slot(s) [but you can no more use the charges in v1.2.2030].. could be confusing too - expected behaviour : the MF quick slot icon(s) should disappear in the general UI after 24h. Note that is a little like the more general 'potion/bracers/etc trick' with other items for any classes (drink or use an item to give you a +STAT allowing use to equip an item normally impossible to use for you or on a specific NPC -ex:bow, wand..-, when the potion/item effect disappears, the weapon/etc's slot is reddened under the inventory again..but not in the general UI window..so you can always use the item in the general window if you don't remove the item in the inventory (ex; bows, wands..)...could be corrected under another bug section too imo [tested again with BG2EE v122030 with Valygar and a bow normally requiring STR18 for exemple -that last bug is also always existing under BG1EE v12 btw - EDIT: see http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/26062/bug-usable-items-under-the-main-window-ui-when-they-should-be-no-more-red-slots-in-inventory#latest for that separate subproblem (indirect here but also affecting the MF quick slot icons, that should have disappeared after 24h too].

    any answer?

    Fooling around with EEKeeper(to spot quickly the ressources code/MF)/NI/*DLTCEP*... i quickly noticed that the original 'MF' item was the BRDFLUTE.ITM (and that one _was_ in my old BG2 original saves inventory btw..was well the ressources asked then, as EEKeeper could see it too then..)... containing ALL THREE (switchable) effects of course..

    NOW.. there were 3 new flutes files added apparently; BRDFLUT1.ITM/BRDFLUT2.ITM/BRDFLUT3.ITM ... each one containing only ONE EFFECTS.. and so, randomly called by the modified MF ability (smae, identified with EEKeeper; SPCL921.SPL).. so the totally f*cked up behaviour observed above... could _never_ get the 3 effects in one MF, even less 3 multi-MF like that..rather, we got the not even sure similar flutes affect observed above, when called (random)...

    I succeeded to fix that with DLTCEP.. can now recal the proper BRDFLUTE with the 3 normal charges now (easy fix to do, that..) ; working perfectly again ^^
    Only problem that i could not totally fix so far : the flute timer before dsappearance (should be 24h..24h = 3 possible rests, aka 3 flutes at the same time... right now, i can only get 2 flutes together.. the 1st disappear when the 3rd appear..and the problem is aggravated with the more general UI problem with no disappearing icons (in the quick slots here), confusing even more.. bad duration timing changed to 16h apparently (should be 24h) : *ù*ù*ù..). If someone knows how to fix that... not normal too..

    ... and of course the problem with the new central screen UI :
    MF disappearing icons _not_ disappearing in the central UI (only in the inventory..).. can be very confusing too... that UI reactivity icon problem can't be fixed so easily with DLTCEP alone it seems .. ((

    Thx to answer on those ones too.. might be important/useful too imo ; especially the UI problem so..very real alas..
