Applying the patch: BG2:EE won't launch anymore! - FIXED

After applying patch v1.2.2030 my BG2:EE won't launch anymore!

I tried the 'Repair Install' option twice, after which it downloads some files, but to no avail.

I ran a modded game, but haven't installed any new mods.

Anyone have his problem?

Any help?

EDIT: I run a Mac, so the typica Windows solution of restarting is not part of my system. In this case it was the solution.
