Did I just make BG2 explode?

So, I recently attempted to make a fallen ranger>mage dual class in Baldur's Gate 1. All was nice and shiny, so then, knowing that such a combination wasn't possible in the second game, I attempted to bring it over to Shadows of Amn...

The game of course regarded my fallen ranger as a normal fighter, and as such asked me to pick a kit. With no more to lose, I just jumped into it, picked Berserker and moved forward... much at my surprise, when I had to pick 4 weapon specialization points for the inactive class (note that I literally exported a level 2 Fallen Ranger > 1 Mage into BG2), I could actually put 4 stars into Bows... something that Berserkers normally can't do. So I started the game, a Throne of Bhaal game. I could pick spells and also my specialisation points gained as a mage (I put 3 on axes, couldn't add more to bows, and couldn't add more than one to other ranged weapons).

I name my character, Testzerker and start the game... check my class window and... Turns out I am a fighter (2) dualed into a fighter (16)... with magical abilities....

So simple question : did I just internally demolish the vital organs that are the BG2 code merged with the limitations of the character exports from BG1?

PROOF PIC!

No, from a biological stand point, complete organ failure would result in death, since your game is still running I hypothesize that what you are experiencing is known as a cerebral S02/methane emission, more commonly referred toas a "BG2 ToB brain fart"!

@Renshtalis: 'BG 2 ToB brain fart'? OMG, best description ever! Hilarious! XD

...and your second fighter class uses the mage xp table. It's all fantastic and weird.

I was wondering what Jaheira looks like in your game, since you are using the in-game pic that is usually hers.

Yep, that's Mazzy. Someone obviously doesn't use Jaheria much.

    Who can blame her, really.

Whups. You're right. I need to sleep. I have to say I didn't like the "I stuck my hair in 50 braids" look that they gave too many female characters in BG2 (apparently Imoen braids hair along with the hair dye). So, what does Mazzy look like, then?

She's very strong, but she's not a charmer at all. :/

@LadyRhian Mazzy... 3 feet tall, sword, hates the shadow lord, bit of an attitude... Yea, pretty good description there ;)

Twice the fighter is twice the better

Mazzy's great. I regularly take her on my playthroughs. Jaheria I've played through the entire game with only once and is usually just a filler until I reach better NPCs.

I rather liked Jahiera, and there is definitely something to be said for "Summon Elemental Prince".
