Love how everyone just ends up dead all the time...

@Aramintai, his romance is good enough, it's his epilogues that are quite disappointing

Maybe someone will mod them later then. I recall in Ascension mod there were alternative versions of epilogues for some NPCs, some even better than originals.

Too bad Baeloth didn't make it into BGII main game. I wonder what kind of epilogue he could have gotten. Probably something about making Black Pits Mark III and miscarrying because of miserable mismanagement and misconduct.

Pretty terrible for all but Neera. It does not mean she died (romance one) but left for that special place and mainchar knew her so well he needed no note to follow her.

The others are a kick in the balls to be honest.

Compare it to the other endings of the old npcs. Love them except for edwins. Never really liked him but for those who did like his personality to be made a practical joke is bad.

I loved aeries romance ending, keldorn and korgans endings. Really epic and many more.

I like neeras romance one, the other is pretty simple with no twist

But it hints that for romantic ending the special place is somewhere in the sword coast

Lol maybe beregost or the area around it but its all speculation

Yea, original NPCs epilogues were mostly awesome. I still have hope for good epilogue for Wilson.

Btw, I remember BioWare continued to make fun of him in Dragon Age. There was a tavern barmaid in the capital city by the name of Edwina, she was still a bitter woman :)

    Thanks for posting these people.

I will keep away from some of the new npcs because of the endings.

Have to say some of the old npc endings really makes me feel for them. Keldorns, better
than some well written books for example.

I like that interpretation I think it makes it much nicer . I think Neeras romance end is one of favourites overall the dialogue in finale was really good too, certainly a highlight of the EE for me

of the origionals I like Mazzy's best its just a realy happy and satisfying ending which I always felt she deserved, aeries romance one is excellent too

controversially I actually quite like Dorn's romance ending but I can see how people would be disappointed by it

Well I just read the vanilla endings again, gotta say they are a bit on a very high level.
Dorn romance ending is pretty cool, to be honest :D

I dislike quite a bit Rasaad one.

Wish someone could spare Hexxat romanced ending here :D

Rasaad actually has a third ending:

Though Alorgoth was not seen again for many years after the events in the Deepstone mines, the Bringer of Doom was not killed there. But by the time Alorgoth resurfaced, Rasaad's interest in avenging his brother had waned. He finally found the peace he sought as a devotee of the Trust. Offering a more tolerant, less dogma-laden path to those worshippers who had grown disenchanted with Shar or Selune or at least the clergy that represented them, he ultimately renounced violence. He and his followers retreated to a remote monastery in the Cloud Peak mountains. There, Rasaad lived the rest of his life in quiet contemplation.
Is that one from .tlk file?

And I thought my Dorn-fan-epilogue-butthurt ended days ago… But the argument “all other characters have 2 epilogues” seems not to work after this, heh

Oh, my. I just finished Rasaad's romance, and now I am officially in tears. :( That affected me more than I realised it would....
....Rasaad's romance epilogue (not to mention his other unhappy ending) has to be one of the saddest things I have seen. Sure, they got to be happy together for a while, but both of them dead? And the cycle of vengeance continues in their children. So tragic..... *cries some more*

I actually got this ending in-game. I wonder if it only triggers if you make certain dialogue choices?

Can you make a pic of it?

Trust me, far less tragic than his non-romanced epilogue D:

Sure; is there a way to get it to come up without going through the whole Melissan fight again? Like a console command or something?

Just Ctrl+Y everything in the last battle to make it quick.

Maybe a little of topic but did Dorn and Gromnir had son kind of family bond or where there just from the same big clan?

They are cousins. Maybe. Its a bit murky what with Gromnir being a Bhaalspawn.

Ok, so here's Rasaad's non-romanced happy ending. I wonder what I did differently to get it?

I wonder what Rasaad's romanced epilogue is supposed to be if your charname chooses to leave him and ascend? I went back and re-did the ending, but my game was bugged and I simply got the romanced epilogue where charname stays with him. Has anyone seen this alternative?

What determine if the character gets a good or a bad ending if not romanced?

@SamuelVarg: I think Rasaad's ending depends on your dialogues with him during his SoA quest - whether to stay with Selune or embrace the Twofold Trust.

@Avenel: Ascending defaults to non-romanced endings (because your character can't be with them anymore).

From the text of the endings it seems to be whether you push him towards aggression/selune/shar or whether you get him to focus on the trust?
  • PurudayaPurudaya Member Posts: 816
I tended to push Rasaad towards less dogmatic/lawful choices while still not endorsing the twofold path - that seems to jive with the ending I got.
