in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
So I can't seem to find a dialogue option to do the quest without him. I don't want him in my party but I want to do the quest, any way around this?

    I'm not sure but since you need his blood to enter the sphere you might need to kill him.

    Yeah, you either must take him in your party, or kill him and use his body.

    Add him to your party, have him open up the sphere, and then ditch him (and get back the person you dropped)?
