Neera romance BG2EE, help needed! *spoilers*

Sooo, how can I buy the Robe of Neutral Archmagi at the red wizard shop-thing in Waukeens Promenad without ending my relationship with Neera? (I'm buying it FOR YOU idiot..!)

I didn't have enough cash the first time I was there and now she leaves if I try to buy it.. Hoped she would leave for a while automatically after the underdark (Bodhi kidnapping) but that didn't work out either..

Suggestions?

    Why not ask her to leave the party, buy it, then have her rejoin?

    On a similar note, will it ever be possible to enter the building with Edwin once Neera's quest is over, or is he always going to behave as if the quest is still ongoing and quit? Sometimes I just wanna chat to my friend Gul, y'know.

    If you place her a bit away from your PC, and talk fast to the shop owner, she won't actually have time to leave your party (as she wants to confirm with you first). It shouldn't break up the romance, hopefully.
