Missing NPC/Party Dialogue When Conversation Starts

Apologies if this has been referenced in some form, or even if not considered a bug:
When you approach an NPC - e.g a dragon about to initiate dialogue, if a party member is out of range and has something to say (Paladin interjection) his dialogue will not play.
I was wondering if this could/should be corrected - or perhaps give all party members a megaphone?.

I think it would be nice if this was incorporated into the base BGEE game.
