What was your most epic solo mage vs. mage battle?

I am in the process of soloing BG2:EE with a Dragon Disciple. I recently had a pretty epic Mage v. Mage battle with the Cowled Wizard, Rayic Gethras. The amount of spells cast by both of us were insane and it was tons of fun trying to pierce his protections while doing enough damage to chip away at him. It was the longest solo mage on mage battle I have had in the BG series and was probably the most gratifying.

So what about you guys who solo mages? Tell of your adventures.

One-on-one mage versus mage?

Hm. Probably Imoen, freshly dual-classed in BG, locked in an epic staff-on-staff confrontation with a no-name mage in Cloakwood Mines.

This epic confrontation extended for almost ten rounds of frenzied misses, whilst the rest of the party looked on in awe, not daring to intervene, until the enemy mage shot a lightning bolt, killing Imoen, which then bounced back and killed him too.

I guess forcing Imoen or Aerie to fight in the mage battles in the Drow tavern.
