[Known 7190] Anomen broken edit: AGAIN

I completed the sister's murder quest (no revenge) as soon as it popped up. However, afterwards when I went to the Windspear Hills and killed the knights, Anomen demanded to go visit his sister's grave, that my actions were bad yada yada etc etc. I assumed it was a one off bug (given he didn't complain again), assured him we'd visit her and carried on and completed the Firkraag quest. It's now been about a tenday later, and I noticed that Anomen hadn't initiated any lovetalks with me/or initiated his Knight Test. In trying to initiate it, I found out if I directly interacted with Anomen he tells me his 'Sister's memory has been dishonored by your twisted ways' and leaves my party permanently and my journal updates with - Anomen returns home after his sister's death

Despite his standoffish-ness, I do actually quite like having Anomen in the party. Is there a way I can fix this? I've tried fiddling with variables in EE keeper, but tbh I've never done so before so I feel like I'm shooting in the dark here.

Okay, if I completely delete the AnomenHome variable it stops him from leaving if I talk to him, but I can't get anything else to trigger either. If it makes any difference, I also recall getting up to LD11, the one just before he tells you he needs to take his test.

Update 2: I've fiddled with variables over and over, timed it so he should wanna start his knight test. Anomen now turns to me after rest outside but won't initiate a convo. I can't initiate a convo with him without starting the romance from square one, and then that bugs out and has the same problem of 'turns towards PC after rest but won't start conversations' a couple of talks in.

*rocks back and forth* I just want my Knight!Anomen...

i have the same issue with anomen not starting his knight test, i want him to quickly fail so he becomes CN but after walking around for 20+ days back and forth from trademeet to Athkatla he still does not initiate the test

Thanks for the replies guys! Thanks to your mention of an earlier save, I remembered I had a much earlier save backed up on my laptop. I simply quickly ran up to the correct point of Anomen's quest/romance on that, and used that as a sort of reference sheet on EE Keeper. That appears to have fixed things, hopefully it won't break later on. Just gonna check if I can delete this thread myself, if not please move/delete at leisure!

If this is still an existing bug (even if you found a workaround for it) it should be left in the BG2EE bugs section and not the "Fixed" section.

Yeah, this is still an existing bug, given it's happened /again/. I've advanced past the Anomen abandons the party/Saerk murder/not murder part of the romance and now he's once again asking me to take him home to mourn his sister if I talk to him, and if I delete the home variable he only turns to PC after rest and says a line.

So sick of trying to fix Anomen in this game.

I have a similar issue but it's nothing major, every time I rest outside Anomen talks like i've just selected him as he says: "Point the sword and I shall strike" or "At your Order!" etc... and when I talk to him with my character he goes on about curse you for bringing me to this point cursing me for not taking vengeance for his sister... I'm 100% sure I did this quest ending in going to the council building and not taking vengeance, whichever option I choose he says its too late and leaves, strange...
