Need help with completing TOSC quest (Spoilers inside).

I'm looking for help with a specific quest, in TOSC there is a quest from Mendes to find a sea chart from the Merchant Guild in Baldur's Gate. The problem is the entrance to the Guild cannot be picked, and from what I have read, the only way in is if you sided with Aldeth in the cloakwood (unfortunately I sided with the druids).

Am I therefore locked out of the Guild as well as the ability to complete the sea chart, travel to island quest?

    @scorpiova It is not the same building, it is in the northeast part of the city, southern half.

    You're welcome. You will however need to enter the area by the south (city entrance) because you will have a wall in the way.

    @scorpiova The building you were trying to get into(Merchant League) was from a quest that is only available if you save a certain noble from some certain druids in the woods... *looks the other way and whistles*
    The charts are in the Counting house.
