So, for those interested, the new superman/batman movie will have wonder woman. WW will be played by Gal Gadot, aka the weapon specialist girl from fast and the furious. Thoughts?
she is VERY lean ey. It doesn't suit the traditional amazonian physique, but she is an ex IDF trainer. Zach has shown his ability to support an actors transformation; 300, man of steel. I think it'd be cool to see her go from model skinny to amazonian built. Plenty of male actors have done it, but I don't think I've ever seen an actress go full muscle bulk mode. At the end of the day, the critical thing is her acting ability... which is completely untried as far as I can tell. I liked Man of Steel, so I trust them.
I suppose the actress who plays wonder woman has to be really skinny cause they are most likely going to put her in a skin tight costume suit which only looks good if the actress is skinny.
Anne Hathaway had to lose weight to look nice in her catwoman costume for batman
I kinda wish they got an actual Greek actress to play her. An Israeli accent on an amazon will be a bit weird for me. I would have liked someone like Tonia Sotiropoulou
or more realistically and even better as an actress, someone like Tabrett Bethell
Yep! And she handles physical action scenes very well, and is a passable actress. Funny story: I was watching the show she used to star in (The Legend of the Seeker) on my laptop and my girlfriend walked up and playfully slapped me on the shoulder. I was like "what was that for???" and she tells me "your jaw has been open for the past ten minutes" XD
I think that girl is passable, but Corrano is perfect. Just imagine how much better the action scenes would be with an actress you could ruff up a bit... and god would I.

That girl in the red underwear is not Gina. It started to get circulated as Gina with all the wonder woman hype, but apparently it's not actually her.
It's distrubing that how Man of Steel sequel is turning out. It's supposed to be a Superman movie, after all. First Batman, then Wonder Woman.... Couldn't they just wait for a Justice League movie?
Abol Gal Gadot - usually, I don't care who the actor is, as long as she will do a good job. This case is not an exception.

I don't expect people to be winning any oscars, but let's be honest though, it's going to be some quality popcorn entertainment.

Playing Wonder Woman comes with a certain expectation of physicality.

The Amazons are a Greek myth. They, themselves, aren't actually Greeks. They live in isolation from the rest of the world.
@Chaotic_Good You're a genius, if only in this one instance.

Yes, but you'd assume they would speak Greek considering their culture and background. They even said in the comics that Wonder Woman's native tongue (Themysciron) is related to Ancient Greek and that she speaks both Ancient Greek, Modern Greek and English.
Now if she would only open up a 24/7 diner and roast a lamb on a spit for Easter....

Even if the language is the same, living apart from mainstream Greek society for thousands of years would yield an altogether different accent.

That girl in the wonder woman costume looks like Rachel Bilson

Warner and DC are testing the water and will be carefully listening to all the online fan feedback once the movie is released. If she trends well then they may green-light a movie; if not they will go back to looking for the "right" actress. Right now Mr. Snyder is their go-to guy for the director's chair and I have to admit that I cannot think of anyone else who could do a decent job with it--even my personal favorite, Robert Rodriguez, would try to introduce a little too much camp for my taste vis-a-vis a Justice League movie. I would recommend that they get Timur Bekmambetov for the visual effects, though, based on what I saw in Night Watch, Day Watch, and Wanted.
The interesting thing is what they may wind up doing with Arrow. Any Arrow watchers here? They are doing a decent job with the show despite the fact that it is targeted to twentysomethings but the characterization of Oliver Queen has been well-done thus far.
I can't see her as Wonder Woman, she just lacks ALL the physical attributes required except for the gender and hair, which are completely moot points in film making. Her face isn't right, her physique isn't right, and I hate to be the one to say it outright but... have you EVER seen a non-busty version of Wonder Woman? I understand by Hollywood standards anything C-Cup+ is busty, but every version of Wonder Woman I've seen she's very blessed in every department of her physique. This could end up a worse mismatch than Tomb Raider.
Body aside, her face is just wrong wrong wrong for Wonder Woman, it is a little too comely and soft, she looks like she can pull off attitude, but not really that commanding leadership and authority that is required of the role.
Most other superhero casting is defined by how well they can fill out a costume, often these costumes have masks leaving the face less of an issue, but in the case of Wonder Woman who never wears a mask, her "filling out" needs to be more noticeable in other aspects. Even if she gains all the muscle mass required, the rest of her look is still... wrong.

Even if she worked out and got some rockin' arms, she's still got a severe case of skinnybitch syndrome.

I really like that casting
But yeah, totally agree with you! haha

Unless she can put on 50 lbs of muscle, i can't understand how she got the role.
Ok maybe 50 is too much, but whatever.
