lovetalk time faster?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
i was just wondering if they made the timer faster? It just feels like I've progressed further through them much earlier in the game than my first time around. or maybe I just fool around more in this game than the last. I know the Neera quest didn't take too long to add on time from vanilla, and I only went to the tomb where you meet Hexxat before I realized I am a good character who would be unable to take Hexxat and still feel alright with his decision in company on his quest (my character. no need to explain a good character could take her, and that is not what this is about)

    It seems like all the conversations are set to happen more quickly. I remember playing through BG2 once long ago and, because I knew nothing and took forever, was amazed by some of the conversations I saw. I mostly reformed that party when I replayed it a year or so ago, and was disappointed that I didn't see a lot of those old conversations again. But this time everyone's really talky.
